Car Rental at Chisinau Airport: What to Check Before Landing

If you are flying into Chisinau, agree on the exact meeting point in advance: arrivals, a car park or a nearby address can mean different arrangements. Share your flight number and ask what happens if your flight is delayed.

What to Check Before Booking

Before confirming, check pickup hours, deposit rules, fuel policy and driver documents. Photograph the car at handover and keep the return instructions.

Useful Questions and Practical Tips

Why compare the terms, not just the headline price? Similar offers can differ in pickup arrangements, mileage allowances, extras and return rules. Request the full cost for your chosen period before deciding.

What should be checked in the confirmation? Verify the dates, collection address, contact number, vehicle class and requested extras. Ask for any unclear points in writing.

Practical tip: save your agreement and vehicle photos on your phone so they remain accessible when you are offline.

Details that make a difference

Confirm whether an agent meets you inside arrivals, whether you should call after collecting luggage, and where the vehicle is actually parked. Save the contact number with its international prefix and share your flight number. For late arrivals, obtain written confirmation that collection is possible at your landing time.

How to avoid common mistakes

“Airport pickup” might mean a desk in arrivals or a handover in a nearby car park. Request a precise meeting pin, the waiting policy for delayed flights, and who pays parking fees. If you are heading out of town, check the boot space against your actual luggage.

What to confirm before the journey

Photograph the bodywork, wheels and fuel gauge before signing, and test the lights and air conditioning. Confirm the return time and location; for early flights ask how keys are dropped off and how the final vehicle condition is recorded.

To compare vehicles, browse car rental options in Chisinau. Availability, pricing and individual terms must be confirmed for your intended dates.
