Early flight from Chișinău: returning a rental car to the airport

An early departure is easiest when the rental return is planned the day before. The last minutes of a holiday are not the best time to discover a different handover point.

Confirm where and when the vehicle is due, whether an early return is possible and who will handle the inspection. Procedures depend on the agreed rental conditions.

Confirm the return details

Ask for the exact meeting point, representative’s contact and instructions if you cannot reach the person immediately. Clarify whether fuel or parking arrangements are required.

If your flight schedule changes, contact the provider before relying on a different return time. Make sure the agreement covers the actual return.

Store the return address and telephone number.
Check the agreed fuel policy.
Reserve time for luggage unloading and inspection.

Calculate the morning realistically

Work backward from the airline’s recommended airport arrival time. Add driving time, possible traffic, car return and the walk into the terminal.

Set an earlier alarm than you think you need. A buffer is more useful than a rushed drive on unfamiliar streets.

Final vehicle check

Remove personal items, check storage pockets and document the car’s condition according to the handover procedure. Verify that keys and required paperwork have been returned.

For your next visit, note what worked well: pickup time, luggage capacity and car category. Those details make future bookings easier.

Useful details for this topic

An early flight may require returning the vehicle before a representative is present. Confirm the permitted parking location, key drop-off method and how the condition report will be completed.

Allow time to walk from the rental return area to the terminal. Keep photographs of the parked car, fuel gauge and odometer, along with the agreed return instructions.
